Christmas Rag Quilt
Sew everyone needs a Christmas Quilt! … to cosy under during the festive season! … introducing to you a rag quilt! … something a bit different as this makes a raggy fluffy edge to the quilt for extra texture and tactileness! Make in Christmas fabrics or of course pretty florals and non Christmas too! (Its up to you!).
This workshop will be over 3 sessions to ensure we get it finished well in time for the festive season! … we will learn how to cut square, batting and make up the quilt pattern, joining squares, rows to make the whole quilt and then making that final ragged edge touch to your quilt too!
You will need to bring your fabric (I can advise you on what you need) I will supply the batting needed for this project! Flannette flat sheets are a fab backing to make this super cuddly and are a low cost fabric too!
Sew Dotty will show you how to achieve this cosy lap quilt in time for Santa! Lots of quilting advice, and of course homemade cakes and mince pies to help fuel the sewing! .
Nothing too difficult here and you will go home with a stunning quilt plus the knowledge & know how to make more!

Christmas Table Runner
Sew would you like to make a festive table runner, quilted & handmade by you! … for all to admire and enjoy over the festive period? … the perfect centre-piece to any Christmas table! Unique & in your own colour choices too!
At this workshop we will make a quilted table runner either in the Christmas Tree design or a patchwork squares quilted runners (perfect for those new to quilting!).
Whats more! … just a thought! … if you did you backing fabric in a non-christmas fabric you could use your runner all year long on the reverse!
Over 3 sessions we will cut out our fabric for our runners, piece by piece sew it together, in our chosen design, add the batting & backing fabric, add quilting details and then a border … such a beautiful runner to enjoy for many Christmases to come!

Christmas Trees
You gotta love a Christmas Tree decoration for your home! … these are sew gorgeous made from christmassy fabrics and stuffed to keep their shape … they will look fab on a mantlepiece or on your Christmas table with fairy lights too!
Make a plain tree and add buttons so you can add small decorations (not supplied or made in this workshop). A simple tree for your child to have in their bedroom maybe! It will last year after year and is a perfect christmas accessory for the festive season!
At this workshop we will make this a fabric christmas tree step by step and Dotty! You will go home with the knowledge and know how , and patterns to make more and what a great gift to give too!
Everything will be supplied by Sew Dotty (I have lots of fabric loveliness to choose from! (or bring your own).

Christmas Cookie Cutter Wreath
Sew if you know me, you will know that I am always on the look out for something quirky and different and I think I’ve found it with this fabulous Christmas Cookie Cutter Wreath!
I think this would be a perfect wreath to adorn your home over the festive period - something different and a talking point! … mine will take pride of place in the kitchen!
Sew Dotty provides all sew just bring you! … I will have a bundle of christmas cookie cutters for you to choose from to make up your wreath shape, we will use Christmas wrapping paper or cards for the backing to the cutters & with some glue gun magic we can bring the wreath together.

Christmas Coasters!
How fabulously festive are these coasters! … made from scraps of christmas fabric!
At this workshop you will join up christmas scraps to make bauble shaped coasters or traditional square coasters! Re-cycling those scraps you will work you sewing machine magic to make as many as you can in the time!
The square coasters are great for beginners or why not try the bauble coasters with a bias binding edge for extra christmas sparkle!
Thes will be padded & you can even fill with a little christmas spice which will give them a festive christmas aroma when you use them!
I supply all for this workshop sew just bring you! … there will of course be mince pies & homemade cake to enjoy with a cuppa or two!

Christmas Fairy Lanterns
At Christmas-time there are never enough fairy lights & sparkle! … sew why not make up this pretty Christmas Fairy Light Lanterns to decorate your home!
Choose your Christmas fabrics & pom-pom trim and we will then make up each individual lantern and thread onto your fairy lights! … & just like that you have the cutest christmas sparkle for your home!
No sewing, just cutting, sticking & making! … the fairy lanterns will be 2m long and battery operated so they can be used to decorate anywhere!

Santa’s Stocking Garland
How cute are these Santa Stockings made up into a Christmas garland with pom-pom trim!
At this workshop you will make 12 santa stockings from a variety of fabrics and sew up these little stockings. They will be filled with stuffing for a full stocking look and once they are all made they will be fixed to a 2metre length of pom pom trim for that extra christmassy festive feel!
Easy peasy sewing but alot to get done in the time … so an earlier start on this workshop to ensure we have time to complete our Santa Stocking Garland in the time!

Sew would you like to up-skill in quilting? Have you tried patchwork and would like to take the next step? … This workshop is for you! We will learn a new quilt block per month - January - December using a 16 square block with differing designs! This month it will be a Christmas Present quilt block! Sew Dotty will show you how, step-by-step to achieve this block!
In december we will arrange another workshop to join all 12 blocks together to make a 2025 Quilt containing all your blocks made throughout the year! (details coming soon!)
