Thanks for your interest in our retreat! Here are a few details for you before you book: What’s Included in the Price?

Your accommodation:

You will be staying in the Heritage Gold Award winning Doughton Barns is of course included in the price and will be a cosy & homely stay! (with private & safe parking too). Your stay will be cosy with log fires, there will be a basket full of quilts & blankets to keep you cosy on an evening!

Meals:

All your meals will be provided for! … including a lazy daily breakfast of orange juice, endless cuppa’s, toast, cereals, crumpets, croissants, granola with natural yoghurt & a dash of honey! … and plus a large fruit bowl! Our Friday Night Feast (Chippy Tea) We will be having a Saturday afternoon tea (a real teat!) & a Stitchers & Hookers night out to the Cat & Custard Pot in the heart of the cotswolds for a homecooked evening meal.

Sewing & Crochet Sanctuary:

There will be an area for you to sew permanently set up & sew to your hearts content … whenever you wish! (after all the uninterrupted me-time is why you want to be there!). Dotty’s sewing area will have space to cut fabric, a mannequin, ironing station (irons & boards), scissors, quilting clips, pins, meter ruler, quilting rulers, quilting squares, cutting mats, rotary cutters, a variety of sewing feet, selection of cotton threads … and a selection of fabrics (to be used in conjunction with our workshops). I will also have a box of my own patterns for you to delve into if you fancy a different project … such as bags, cushions, fabric storage pots & sew on!

The Crochet Corner will have a stash of squishy yarn to squish, books for inspiration, stitch markers and everything you need to cosy up and get crocheting!

Sewing & Crochet Expertise:

Sew Dotty (Helen) and Clare will be on hand during the day to give you help and guidance on your own sewing & crochet projects. We will be available from after breakfast-time until our evening meal each day. We are happy to share our knowledge & expertise on a your own project.

6 hours of Sewing or Crochet Workshops:

Included in the retreat price is 6 hours of sewing or crochet workshops! … in the afternoons on the Saturday & Sunday Helen & Clare will be running their own personal sewing & crochet workshops at the accommodation for you to attend (only if you wish - this isn’t compulsory, as we appreciate you may be full steam ahead on your own project!). All details of those workshops are as follows:

Dotty’s Snack Shack:

Sew … although meals are all catered for! … I thought it would be a lovely homely idea to have a snack shack for you to help yourselves whenever you would like! … a little reward for your hardwork after sewing … a cosy cuppa and a biscuit, slice of cake or a chocolate bar! … there is also a stash of crisps, lemonade, hot chocolate, earl grey tea, herbal tea, tea & coffee (& decaffeinated too), bottled water and squash too! Sew whether it’s a midnight snack, early morning cuppa or a mid morning pick me up its there for you when you need it! … enjoy those nibbles! There will also be bottled water for you in your bedroom.

Inspiration Library:

Sew there will be a library of sewing, crochet & quilting books for inspiration & also home inspiration books too! … Oh, and not forgetting a pile of magazines too! … a great addition with your cuppa!

Retreat Goody Bag:

You will be given a good bag when attending the retreat! … I cant divulge what’s in there as that’s a surprise!
