Dotty’s Sewing Trolley!

This is genius! … just love how useful & handy this sewing trolley is! … It’s a must for a sewing space and just the storage you need for your iron, sewing machine, scissors, tape measures, cutting board & sew on! Non-sewer? fear not! … this would be great stacked full of yarn, patterns & hooks too! Or great in the utility room to house dishwasher tablets, washing powder, pegs etc!

We will make a brand new ironing board cover which will fit on your new ironing station perfectly! The board will be fixed to your trolley. The ironing board conveniently lifts up and can be used to store your supplies! (I use mine for rulers, a cutting, rotatory cutter etc).

Included in the cost of this workshop are the following items (from Ikea):

  • Trolley (available in 9 different colours)

  • 2 x Hooks

  • Ironing board

  • 3 x clip-on tubs

  • Fabric, fleece interfacing etc!

We will also make 4 fabric containers which fit neatly on a shelf on your trolley - I use mine for holding my cotton threads, one as a scraps basket, sewing machine feet etc.

We will also make a larger basket for sewing supplies for the last shelf - leaving plenty of space to house your iron etc.

The metal clips can be used on the side to hold your scissors, rulers and measuring tapes. The clip-on tubs are great for cotton, bobbins, quilting clips, tape measures etc and can be removed when in use!

The trolley is desk height and you can even use it to iron sitting down! Its also a useful area for a cutting board and for cutting out fabric, as well as storing your sewing machine at the end of the day.

The trolley is 77cm tall and each shelf is 35 × 45 cm. If you would like to purchase the trolley yourself and bring to the workshop - this is no problem at all - let me know and I can reduce the cost of the workshop accordingly.

This is not one to miss! This all singing and all sewing trolley will be the envy of any sewist!

Session 1 will be creating the ironing board & starting the smaller fabric storage pods.

Session 2 will be finishing the storage pods and assembly of the trolley so you are good to go!

Nothing too difficult here so a beginner or above for sewing skills level.
